St. Tammany has a highly rated public-school system (www.stpsb.org) that continuously scores above national and state levels on standardized tests. Niche.com ranked St. Tammany Parish Public Schools in the top 16% of school districts in the country in 2019. It has also been ranked as #6 of 69 Best School Districts in Louisiana. The St. Tammany Parish School Board and all public schools within the system are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In addition to having a nationally ranked public-school system, St. Tammany Parish is home to Northshore Technical Community College and has close proximity to Southeastern Louisiana University, Tulane University, Xavier University, Dillard University, Louisiana State University, University of New Orleans, Delgado Community College, and Delta Community College; many have satellite campuses in St. Tammany.
